Each year the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (lNPEA) recognizes June 15th as "World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD)."  With support from the World Health Organization and AARP International, this world-wide event increases public awareness of Elder Abuse.

This year the day-long seminar at the North Shore Harbor Center in Slidell, Louisiana was a great success.  We have already reserved the venue for next year, so mark Tuesday, June 15, 2010 on your calendar now, and watch for updates as we prepare for next year's event.  And watch the INPEA web site to learn more about this important event, as well as discovering sources of information about Elder Abuse.
